Another year down. In the last year, we gathered diapers for the Ozarks Diaper Bank, prepared meals for the Veteran’s Coming Home center and Harmony House, helped out at the Haven (and our members took home two furry friends!), raised $14,000 for the Springfield Community Gardens, devoted a morning to working at the garden, cleaned up our section of Campbell, and gathered food for Harvesters in Kansas City. We welcomed a tiny new member with a baby shower, had a 4th of July party, and celebrated a few birthdays in there as well. I’m sure that isn’t quite all, but I’m writing this from memory.
Our members took home trophies at competitions across the country, from Colorado to California to Tennessee, including a number of first place wins.
We took a big step when we completed our 501C3 filing with the IRS, making us an official non-profit agency. Comment and share your favorite QCBMF memory from the year.
