QCBMf Makes donation to Springfield Tool Library

Springfield, MO, November 21, 2016–Following a September 2016 “Gearhead Garage Sale” to raise funds, Queen City Beard and Moustache Foundation will be delivering a donation of two toolboxes, one for home repairs and one for automotive repairs, to the Springfield Tool Library, a project of the Community Partnership of the Ozarks.

The Tool Library is an amazing resource for our community, and we’re excited to be able to help. Much of their budget goes to liability insurance, so the Tool Library relies upon donations to make tools available within our community, said QCBMF Board Member and Volunteer Coordinator, Joshua Hethcoat.

Our toolboxes will be delivered today, 11/21/2016 at 4:30 PM.

Queen City Beard and Moustache Federation is committing to supporting our community through donations, fundraising, and volunteer efforts; we invite the community to join us each month on the second Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. at McSalty’s Pizza on East Battlefield Road.

Our Charity Is Chosen

At the October meeting, we voted and chose our charity for the 2017 Competition; the winner was the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. We’ll be funding a cloth diaper library lending and mentorship program. How exciting!

Here’s what we need from y’all:

  1. Sponsors–you’ll find all the sponsorship information on the Sponsors page. Feel free to make contacts for us. the sponsorship letter can be downloaded and printed from the Sponsors page.
  2. A logo–please submit your designs to queencitybeards@gmail.com.
  3. Volunteers to help with competition planning and activities.
  4. Suggestions for bands and printers.

The Beards will be pouring beers at BeerFest for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Ozarks, so come out and see us!

Our next volunteer event is the Crosslines Christmas Store on 12/17. It’s great fun to play an elf.
